Ellen Baur, a native American and
Swiss Citizen by marriage, was one of the first in the region of Zurich,
when she opened a relocations company in the year 1981. Back then the
business operated under the name 'Ellen Baur Housing Consultants' and
quickly developed to the number one address in the relocations business.
Ellen was always very active in the different expatriate organisations (President
of the American Women's Club of Zurich as well as member of orientation
programmes for newcomers 'Living in Switzerland').
With regard to an early succession
planning she merged her company in the beginning of 2003 with Arriva
Relocations, which was founded in 2000 by Pascale Rovelli. The new
enterprise, listed in the trade register since may 2003, is called Ellen
Baur & Partner Relocations GmbH.
Ellen is now living together with her
husband Gery as an early retiree in the United States. Mostly in California,
she nevertheless regularly travels back to Zurich and as 'honorary partner'
still acts as a counsellor to the company
Ellen Baur & Partner Relocations
has joined the
European
Relocation Association (EURA) and is founding member of SARA,
the
Swiss
Association of Relocation Agents. |
